Sorry, but it's what a lot of us are thinking after the election.

Vote, Americans!
Of course if you've already done so don't do it again, that's kind of illegal. And if you're thinking about voting for Trump you should probably bang your head against the nearest concrete object over and over again instead. That way you'll be probably be in a coma for the next six months, and won't have to deal with realising just how badly you've helped screw things up if Trump wins.

One More Long Week.
Just one more week and the seemingly endless US election campaign will be over. Unfortunately the aftermath may be pretty awful. The rhetoric from Trump and his surrogates could lead to some violence if he loses. If he wins I suspect it will be a complete mess, and I still suspect Trump won't last long as President one way or another.
And I'm just an observer from another country. Imagine how long it's seemed if you live in the US.

Dark Horses.
It's amazing how narrow the focus of the US media is regarding this year's election. With their fixation on Bernie, the Donald, Hilary Clinton and Ted "I wanna star in a teen tit film" Cruz they're ignoring the other candidates for President.
How many, you ask? Why, some 1669, to be exact. (Please note that some of them have names that may be NSFW if your workplace is particularly snoopy.) Why doesn't the media give us some more details on these guys and gals? One of them may turn out to be the best President the US has ever had. But you won't know unless you get to know them, and that's not happening right now.

Stabby?
Here in Saskatoon we get our ABC, CBS, and NBC feeds from Detroit. (Our Fox feed is from Rochester, New York for some reason.) So I was treated(not) to various Michigan political ads, including those for and against Senator Debbie Stabenow. Smartypants that I am I found myself calling her Stabby when I saw her ads. Does anyone else call her that?
Incidentally, for those who weren't following the Michigan campaign, Stabenow won her third term as Senator.

Vote, Americans.
Chances are by the time you read this it will be time for you to vote. So, if you can, make sure you get out and vote today. Honestly, you owe the rest of us for making us put up with your damn campaign for the last year and a half. You seriously need to find a way to make the process less complicated and less drawn out. It's just getting to be too much.

Four More Weeks.
Bleh! We have another month of the US election campaign to go through, and it's already been interminable. The seemingly neverending campaign cycle is why I'm not a fan of fixed election dates. The first primary may have been in January, but the actual campaigning probably started almost a year before that. Unfortunately the chances of the Americans moving to a much less complicated and drawn out system is virtual nil

Vote, Americans.
You've an election going on today, so get out there and vote. If you don't you're defacto voting for whoever wins whether you like them or not. Apparently in some places you can vote "None of the above," so you can't claim there's no one to vote for if you live in one of them.

One More Week.
Just think. One more week and the pain in the ass we call the US Presidential Election will be over. No, it won't stop the more paranoid whiners from ranting that W. will find some excuse to use martial law to hold onto power, or their opposite numbers ranting that Obama will introduce Sharia law and have Chinese tanks on the Beltway a day after he takes office. But at least the most annoying aspects will come to an end, like the ads and the incessant campaigning that's been going on for a year and a half. The "campaign that never ends" aspect of the process is one of the reasons I'm not in favour of fixed election dates.
