If you're a Canadian fan of the US Spike tv network you can relax. The CRTC has turned down a request by Canwest/Global to force it off the Canadian airwaves. The CRTC decided that it wasn't damaging competition to Global's own Men TV cable specialty channel. Frankly I don't know what Global is worried about. Spike will probably change names and formats in a couple of years anyways.
