Damn.

I just found out that guitarist Robert Quine has died, possibly via suicide. His wife died suddenly about 10 months ago and apparently Quine had been devastated by it. Quine was one of those original guitarists that sounded like pretty much no one but himself, and is probably best know as one of the Voidoids and for his stint with Lou Reed, along with working with Mathew Sweet. I guess I'll have to go dig out my copy of Basic, his 1984 album with guitarist/drummer Fred Maher.
