Goodbye, Metro.

Chances are the name Les Pavelick won't be familiar to most visitors.  Unless you're of a certain age and from the Canadian Prairies  the name Metro isn't likely to be much more familiar.  But he was another element of my 1970s childhood.  Pavelick died Tuesday at 71.  The kind of humour that Pavelick presented as Metro is hard to find these days, and of course many are no doubt quite happy about that.  You can judge for yourself.  "Big Bad Steve" is a parody of the classic country tune "Big Bad John."

How did I miss this?  December saw the publication of what could be the most important religious book ever published:  Lolcat Bible: In Teh Beginnin Ceiling Cat Maded Teh Skiez an Da Urfs N Stuffs  Now the story of Ceiling Cat and His many works can be read by all. It was translated by Martin Grondin and other members of the LOLcat Bible Translation Project.  I'm sure they made Ceiling Cat very happy, and He will lay plenty of cheeseburgers upon them.

Hard as it may be to believe, there are reports that Bullwinkle has been assassinated. Hmmm, I wonder how the US press will cover this important story.
