History Repeats.

Our last February 29 was in 2016.  On that day I received a Where's Willy hit.  Today I received one as well.  Unfortunately we'll have to wait another 4 years to see if the Leap Day hit streak continues.

A Rare Hit.

A nice surprise in the e-mail today.  I received a Where's Willy hit.  Getting a hit on February 29 is always going to be rare, especially when you have a hit rate like mine.  A quick check indicates I didn't get one for February 29, 2012. 

The day is still young.  Perhaps I'll get another hit.

Bonus Day.

I hope you enjoy our extra day this year.  It doesn't actually add any more time to your life,  but having a February 29 every four years is fun.  It's all about keeping events on our solar based calendar in line with the actual passage of time. 

Happy Leap Day!

Time sure flies.  Once again it's Leap Year, and we get an extra day.  In a way it's too bad it just gets labelled as February 29th.  There should be an extra day added to the week with its own specific name.  No doubt people think it would be too confusing to have an 8 day week even if it was only once every four years.

Since we don't have an 8th day this week how about some Beatles instead?

A Mandatory Post.

No matter what happened today I had to post. After all February 29th only comes along once every four years. This blog didn't even exist when the last February 29th came and went. For a moment last night I had the crazy idea of creating a new blog, one on which I would only post on February 29th. But then I decided it wouldn't be worth clogging up Blogger with something silly like that. Of course there's a good chance someone does have a blog based on such an idea, and there are some blogs that are posted to so rarely they effectively perform a similar role, just not one connected to this unique date.
