Lots Of Work.

Quitting negative behaviours is hard, isn't it?  There are things I'm trying to stop doing, but progress is slow.  You get used to a cycle, a pattern, and then trying to end that pattern becomes troublesome.  And the stuff I'm trying to stop doesn't have the addictive quality of certain behaviours.  I can only imagine what it must be like trying to quit drugs, where you can develop a strong physical dependence on their use.
