 I thought I wasn't going to get in a post this month, but here we are.

Gas in Saskatoon is currently 175.9 cents a litre at most stations.  It's taken a big jump lately.

 It's been a while, hasn't it?  I was just too lazy in July to post about anything.

Gas in Saskatoon is currently 155.9 cents a litre at most stations.

 And the dreaded 2 dollar mark has been broken.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 206.9 cents a litre at most stations.

 We're getting close to the dreaded 2 buck mark.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 195.9 cents a litre at most locations.

It will be interesting to see if stations eventually change their signs and pumps to show gas prices in dollars per litre instead of cents per litre.  It seems unlikely we'll see gas go below the dollar a litre mark again, but you never know.  A lot will depend on what happens as electric cars increasingly replace gas powered ones.

 This is really getting to be a bad habit.

Gas has gone up again.  It's now 178.9 cents a litre at most Saskatoon stations.  But it could be worse.  In some parts of Canada it's now 2 bucks a litre or more.

 Better late than never.

We got a bit of Easter relief.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 165.9 cents a litre at most stations.  It will be interesting to see which way prices go, since China is increasingly locked down due to their "zero COVID" policy, and that means a lot of driving isn't going on, pushing down demand.

 There's actually a bit of price relief to report this week.  Gas in Saskatoon is 168.9 cents a litre at most stations.  Hopefully the price will remain at that level, or better yet drop, but I wouldn't count on it.

 It didn't take long for the price to go up.  In fact it went up twice this week.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 178.9 cents a litre at most locations.  I'll be entirely unsurprised if we hit the 2 dollar mark by this time next week.

 I can't imagine anyone is surprised the price went up here this week.  Someone might be surprised it took this long.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 158.9 cents a litre at most stations.  This is the highest price ever in the Saskatoon market.  But it could be worse.  Vancouver has broken the 2 dollar a litre mark.  And it's expected the Ukraine war will lead to higher prices in short order.  So you might want to reconsider that Ford F350  you were thinking of buying.

 A rather unpleasant price jump this week.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 147.9 cents a litre at most stations. Depending on what the previous price was at a specific station this was an 11 or 12 cent jump.

I didn't make one of these posts after January 7th because the price kept bouncing around between 135.9 and 137.9 cents a litre.  Most of the time it was at 136.9, but it would drift up or down a cent before heading back to that mark a day or two later.

Yes, the series is back after an absence caused by laziness.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 137.9 cents a litre at most stations.  At some stations this was a price jump of 11 cents a litre.  I haven't heard the excuse for it, but I doubt I'd be impressed.

Gas In Saskatoon, October 8, 2021.

 I doubt you'll be surprised to hear gas prices took a big jump in Saskatoon this week.  Gas in Saskatoon is  now 143.9 cents a litre at most stations.  It hasn't been this high since 2008.  The all time high was 145.9 cents a litre the week of September 12 that year, and now I'm wondering if it will reach the 150 cents a litre mark soon.  Let's hope not.

I haven't written one of these since April, but the price has finally gone up.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 131.9 cents a litre at most stations.  The price of oil has been going up of late, so a gas price increase isn't much of a surprise.  I expect we'll see more to come this summer.

This week we had a three cent drop.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 125.9 cents a litre.  I wouldn't be surprised if this price holds until closer to the Victoria Day long weekend.

 Prices have been a bit confusing the last few days.  At one point you could find at least 4 different gas prices at stations on 8th Street.  But by Friday night most stations were selling at 128.9 cents a litre.  A price rise had been expected because of changes in carbon pricing, but some people thought prices would go up 10 cents a litre.

 Rather an unpleasant surprise at the pumps this week.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 125.9 cents a litre at most locations.  That nine cent jump will add up pretty quickly if your tank is very big.

 A price increase to report this week.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 116.9 cents a litre at most locations.  I would imagine the recent mess in Texas will be used to justify this increase.

Gas In Saskatoon, January 29, 2021.

As is often the case the whys of changes in gas prices escape me this week.  Despite the announcement of further decreases in air travel, which should push down petroleum prices because of lower product demand, the price of gas actually went up in Saskatoon.  It is now 109.9 cents a litre at most locations.  I doubt we'll reach the lows of last year, when prices were nearing the 60 cents a litre mark, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a drop again fairly soon.

 I had thought there might be a price change before year end, and I was right.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 103.9 cents litre at most locations.  Which in one way is strange, because pandemic restrictions will limit the amount of Christmas travel in these parts this year.

 Another drop to report.  Gas in Saskatoon is now 97.9 cents a litre at most stations.  I doubt we'll see a price increase until the Christmas season comes closer, and that might still be a long shot.
