Apparently several fans of American Idol winner Clay Aiken have lodged a complaint with the US Federal Trade Commission because of stories Aiken's private life might not match his public one, and are also considering a class action lawsuit. They're comparing this to a manufacturer hiding that a product is defective. You'd think anyone over the age of say 7 or 8 would realise that the pop world is full of artifice.
