This BBC article on the toughness of digital storage devices for digital cameras reminded me of a photography magazine special edition I read last year. It was about photographers present during the World Trade Center attacks. Included was an article about a photographer whose digital camera survived the attack when he unfortunately didn't. They were able to download the last photos he took with the camera. Very eerie.
