Gas In Saskatoon, August 29, 2014.

A nice surprise to report for the last long weekend of the summer.  Gas in Saskatoon has dropped to 122.4 cents a litre at most locations.  So if you need to fill up your tank for a long trip it will be a bit more pleasant than you might have expected.

There Are So Many Questions That Need To Be Answered.

Unfortunately many of them never will be.  For example, why have Mick Jagger and Iggy Pop never done a song together?

Gas In Saskatoon, August 22, 2014.

This week's report is fairly hot off the presses.  Gas in Saskatoon dropped today to 124.9 cents a litre at most locations.  So it seems the chances of breaking the 130 cents a litre mark before August ends have decreased.

Not Enough.

I can't be the only one who had this song come to mind because of the ongoing mess in Ferguson.

Things have changed since the mid '60s.  But not enough.  Far from enough.

Up Too Early On A Sunday.

I really should still be asleep, since I have no need to be awake right now.  But sometimes when your body wants you up, it's time to get up.

Gas In Saskatoon, August 15, 2014.

I wasn't all that surprised that the price of gas went up again.  Gas is now 127.9 cents a litre at most locations.  Will it break the 130 cents mark before the kids go back to school?  Stay tuned.

I Don't Have Any Either.

Lately I've getting regular hits for a post I made way back in 2009 about the Malted Milk chocolate bar disappearing.  Sorry that I can't help anyone find one.  I'd like one again as well, but the only way you're likely to find one is if someone has a 5 year old box of them in a back room someplace.  And I imagine a 5 year old Malted Milk wouldn't be a pleasant experience.  It would be a hard lump of vaguely chocolate flavoured goo at this point.

Gas In Saskatoon, August 8, 2014.

When it comes to gas prices what goes down, must come up.  After a couple of stable weeks gas went up to 125.9 cents a litre at most locations today.

Thunderstorm, Please.

Yeah, I know a lot of you probably don't like them, but could we have at least one more in Saskatoon?  The forecasts keep promising them, but they seem to keep going around us, or fading away before they get here.  One of the things I like about this season is getting to see a cool lightning display.

Penny's Not Dead Yet.

If anyone is a fan of Alex Wendzel's Out At Home webcomic here's some good news.  He's finally posted a new page.   I think it's a lovely piece of work.  It's also apparently the last one we'll see of the series, at least as we know it.  He says he's run out of steam with the current format.  However a sequel/reboot is in the works, and Penny and Kate will be central characters.

But whatever results I'm more than anything glad to see that the kid hasn't disappeared for good, like Sage Leaves apparently has.
